If you’re required to display a name badge at work, you’ll need a way to display it.  One of the great ways to do this is with a name badge lanyard.  A lanyard is both simple to use and cheap to purchase.  There aren’t many better options for displaying badges than with a lanyard.

The most common type of lanyard name badge is one that is worn around the neck.  When placed around the neck, the plastic badge holder hangs in front of the chest where it can be easily seen.  The lanyard portion of the item can be made out of fabric or plastic.  Fabric lanyards are definitely the more popular model, but both are available.  Length of the lanyard can also vary, but standard lanyards run about 36 inches long.

The badge holder portion of a name badge lanyard hangs at the end of the lanyard.  Most holders are connected to the lanyard via a clip.  Most holders are made out of plastic as it is the most cost effective, but still do well for protection of a badge.  Soft plastic badge holders are the most common, but hard, or rigid, plastic holders are also available.  You can also find leather holders, but these will come at a much greater cost than their plastic counterparts.

These two pieces combine to form the name badge lanyard.  You can buy both parts together, or separately if you like.  As long as the lanyard has the ability to attach to a name badge holder via a clip, you shouldn’t have any problem ordering the two parts separately if you wish.

A lanyard name badge can be purchased at an online retailer or an office supply store.  Because of better prices and selection, it is recommended that you check online for your purchase first.  Office supply stores will have name badge lanyards, but they’ll come at a higher price.  If buying in bulk, you’re likely to save quite a bit of money by shopping online.
